How to Fix a Galaxy S6 Microphone Problem

  • Press and hold power, volume up and Home buttons together.
  • You will be taken to the recovery menu preceded by a blue Android screen.
  • Now, use the volume button to go down the options to highlight ‘Wipe data/Factory Reset’ and then press the Power button to confirm your choice.
  • On the next screen, go down to ‘Yes’ and press the Power button again to confirm.
  • This will start the factory reset, and once it is completed, you will see a yellow message at the bottom of the screen.
  • The next step is to highlight ‘Reboot System now’ on your screen and then press Power to confirm it.
  • Your Samsung Galaxy S6 will restart with the factory settings restored on it.

Record your voice using the recording app to check if the microphone works. If the problem continues, then you must visit a professional technician who can check for hardware related issues on your phone.
